MF-PSML Multifuse® PTC Resettable Fuses

Bourns MF-PSML Multifuse® PTC Resettable Fuses are low ohmic resettable fuses in a small 0805 surface-mount package. These fuses offer post trip resistance values as low as 25mΩ and initial resistance values as low as 3mΩ. Bourns MF-PSML fuses can achieve a 3.5A hold current in an 0805 package. These fuses feature Free Xpansion Design™ technology to increase the performance over conventional designs. Applications include PC motherboard port protection, USB, memory modules, and wearable devices.

MF-PSML/X PPTC Resettable Fuses

Bourns MF-PSML/X Low Resistance PPTC Resettable Fuses utilize Bourns' freeXpansion™ design that increases performance with higher hold current and maximum voltage ratings, improved resistance stability, and smaller footprints. The PTC resettable fuses feature hold current ratings from 0.75A to 3.0A at the 12V maximum rated voltage and even higher hold current ratings from 3.5A to 4.5A at 8V maximum rated voltage. Low-resistance conductive materials used in the series enable post-trip resistance values as low as 0.012Ω and initial resistance values as low as 0.001Ω. The low resistance values help boost the current carrying capability of the devices, and MF-PSML450/8-2 offers a 4.5A hold current rating at 8VDC in a small 0805 package. Bourns MF-PSML/X is ideal for USB port protection, Li-ion battery packs, motherboards, and portable consumer electronic I/O port protection.

Multifuse® PTC Resettable Fuses

Bourns Multifuse® PTC Resettable Fuses are available in polymer or ceramic with surface-mount, through-hole, or strap-mount configurations. The materials used in these fuses allow them to reset after a fault condition has been removed, and the increase in resistance changes exponentially rather than in a linear manner. Resettable overcurrent protection offers reliability and a longer part life. Bourns Multifuse PTCs provide resettable overcurrent protection, extra-low resistance, and are RoHS compliant. These fuses are ideal circuit protection for a variety of industrial and consumer applications, including computer, battery, automotive, and telecommunications.
