9176 IDC Connectors

KYOCERA AVX 9176 Surface-Mount Insulation Displacement Connectors (IDC) are used to connect individual wires ranging from 14AWG-28AWG directly to a PCB. The dual IDC contact system provides a redundant gas-tight interface to the wire that has been tested to automotive levels of temperature, shock and vibration. The 26AWG-28AWG single IDC contact offers a solution to reliably terminate discrete wires to a PCB with a consistent process while allowing for wires to be easily replaced. The optional accessory cap doubles as an assembly aid as well as provides a positive strain relief in harsh or vibration applications.

9176 Dual-Contact SSL IDC Connectors

KYOCERA AVX 9176 Insulation Displacement Connectors (IDC) are surface-mount dual-contact connectors that accept 18AWG to 24AWG wires with an insulation diameter ranging from 1.1mm to 2.1mm. The connectors support a 10A current rating with two large SMT solder tails per wire to provide maximum stability on the PCB, 1p to 3p configuration, and can be end-stackable for higher pin counts. Optional locking strain relief caps act as the termination tool for severe vibration applications. Part of the 917x family, the 9176 IDCs allow simplicity in connecting individual wires directly to a PCB and have been tested to automotive levels of shock, vibration, and temperature cycling to demonstrate reliability and robustness. KYOCERA AVX 9176 connectors are designed for industrial and automotive applications.

IDC Wire-to-Board Connectors

KYOCERA AVX IDC Wire-to-Board Connectors provide a robust, reliable, and efficient method to connect individual wires ranging from 12AWG to 30AWG directly to a PCB. The single contact design can function as a standalone component, providing designers access to IDC technology in an easy-to-use form factor that allows them to bring power and signal to a PCB in a wide range of applications. KYOCERA AVX IDC Connectors are suitable for demanding applications, including solid-state lighting (SSL) and industrial sensors and controls.

9176 Gas-Tight Wire-to-Board IDC Connectors

KYOCERA AVX 9176 Gas-Tight Wire-to-Board Insulation Displacement Connectors (IDC) are specially designed to connect individual 18AWG to 14AWG wires directly to a PCB in harsh automotive and industrial applications. This contact system is tested to automotive levels of shock, vibration, and temperature cycling to prove its reliability and robustness. The simplicity of inserting a wire into an SMT contact with a small tool or optional retention / termination cap allows a wide range of devices to be connected to the PCB without soldering. KYOCERA AVX 9176 Gas-Tight Wire-to-Board Insulation Displacement Connectors are offered in various heights, terminations (surface mount or plated through hole), and positions for size-critical applications.
