AVX 0805 LGA (Land Grid Array) Capacitors are the latest low inductance MLCC family developed by AVX. With a simplified layout of 2 large solder pads, compared to 8 small pads for IDCs, designers have the opportunity to reduce PCB or substrate contribution to system ESL by using multiple parallel vias in solder pads. In addition, an advanced FCT manufacturing process is used to create uniformly flat terminations on the capacitor that resist tombstoning. The AVX 0805 LGA Low Inductance Capacitors are ideal for semiconductor packages and board level device decoupling.

LGA Low Inductance Capacitors

KYOCERA AVX Land Grid Array (LGA) Low Inductance Capacitors offer a simplified layout of two large solder pads, compared to eight small pads on Inter-Digitated Capacitors (IDCs). This reduces PCB, or substrate, contribution to the system ESL by using multiple parallel vias in solder pads. These capacitors feature uniformly flat terminations that resist tombstoning and are available in 0306, 0508, and 0805 packages. KYOCERA AVX LGA capacitors are ideal for semiconductor packages and board-level device decoupling.
