Toshiba Discrete Thermostat Solution provides improved reliability and performance in a smaller footprint. The accelerating demand for energy-efficient solutions and a surge in the number of smart home devices will encourage significant growth for smart thermostats. Efficient energy savings, smart controlling, and reduction in per unit energy cost are some underlining parameters that will guide the industry moving forward. It’s essential to reduce power consumption and space requirements and improve operating life to increase the functionality and performance of these devices. Toshiba offers products that meet these critical requirements with the current LDO technologies and photo relays, which have garnered much success in thermostats and other similar designs.

TCR3UM LDO Voltage Regulators

Toshiba TCR3UM LDO Voltage Regulators are CMOS general-purpose single-output voltage regulators with an on/off control input featuring ultra-low quiescent bias current and low dropout voltage. These voltage regulators are available in fixed output voltages between 0.8V and 5.0V and can drive up to 300mA. They feature Over-current protection, a Thermal Shutdown function, and Auto-discharge. The TCR3UM components are offered in an ultra-small plastic mold package DFN4 [1.0mm x 1.0mm; t 0.60mm (max)] and have a low dropout voltage of 196mV (3.3V output, IOUT = 300mA). As small ceramic input and output capacitors, 1μF can be used with the TCR3UM devices. The Toshiba TCR3UM LDO Voltage Regulators are ideal for portable applications that require high-density board assemblies, such as cellular phones, IoT equipment, and wearable devices.

Toshiba TCR3UM 300mA Low Dropout Regulators are CMOS general-purpose single-output voltage regulators with an on/off control input. The TCR3UM features an ultra-low quiescent bias current and low dropout voltage. The LDOs support fixed output voltages between 0.8V and 5.0V and can drive up to 300mA. Additionally, the devices provide over-current protection, thermal shutdown function, and auto-discharge.
